First-year Orientation

The below information overviews Spring 2024 Orienation. Check back soon to learn more about the plans for Summer 2024!

As a new student, you will attend a First-year Orientation to meet new people, learn how you can get involved as a Temple student, and register for courses.

Curious about First-year Orientation? It’s a full-day experience - either virtual or in-person - that includes the following.

  • Academic advising and registration for courses

  • Connecting with an Owl Team Leader, who is a current student and will answer your questions about Temple

  • Meeting other new students

We’ll also have other opportunities for you to meet new people and learn about campus resources throughout the summer and at the start of the semester as part of Weeks of Welcome.

When will it happen?
A First-Year Orientation session will take place in early January via Zoom and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

What will you need?
A device (computer, laptop, or tablet) that has audio functionality
Access to internet
While not required, we recommend the use of headphones to avoid background noise
