New Owl Orientation

New Owl Orientation Overview

Designed to prepare you for your first semester and beyond, Orientation at Temple is a series of steps that build on one another.

New Owl Foundations

New Owl Foundations is a two-part online experience that helps you get familiar with your school or college and the broader university community.

  • Part I - Academic Readiness: focuses on your school or college. You’ll learn about the resources specific to your academic program and what to expect at your New Owl Advising and Registration meeting.
  • Part II - Thriving at Temple:  zooms out to the broader university, covering campus-wide resources and services you’ll use throughout your time at Temple.
New Owl Advising and Registration

At New Owl Advising and Registration, you’ll meet virtually with an academic advisor and register for your fall courses. This is a great opportunity to ask questions specifically related to your course schedule, AP/IB/transfer credits,  and academic plan.

Meetings will take place between May and August. You will receive your Zoom link via email after you make your RSVP.

New Owl Experience

New Owl Experience is a one-day, in-person program for incoming first-year students. You’ll meet other new students, your campus, and get connected with your Owl Team Leader. Parent and Family Orientation runs concurrently.

A virtual New Owl Experience is available for students living more than 150 miles from campus. The program is live, covers the same core content as the in-person day, and includes time with an Owl Team Leader and other incoming students.

New Owl Experience sessions are offered from late June through July.

Weeks of Welcome

Weeks of Welcome is a two-week stretch of events and programming that kicks off during Fall Move-In and runs through the first week of classes. You’ll meet other students, explore Philadelphia, and get settled into life at Temple.

New Owl Advising and Registration and New Owl Experience reservations will open in early April for new students who have confirmed their enrollment for Fall 2026.

Check both the email you used on your application to Temple and your Temple email for more details!
