As a new student, you will attend a First-Year Orientation to meet new people, learn how you can get involved as a Temple student, and register for courses.
What is First-Year Orientation?
It’s a full-day virtual experience for all incoming first-year students.
Your experience includes the following:
Academic advising and registration for courses
Connecting with an Owl Team Leader, who is a current student and will answer your questions about Temple
Meeting other new students in the Class of 2029
We’ll also have other opportunities for you to meet new people and learn about campus resources at the start of the semester as part of Weeks of Welcome.
Please note: First-Year Orientation for Spring 2026 will be held virtually. First-Year Orientation sessions that are in-person will resume in the Summer of 2026 for incoming Fall 2026 first-year students.
When is First-Year Orientation?
The Spring 2026 First-Year Orientation session will take place on Monday, January 9th from 9:00am - 4:00pm. You will see the option to reserve your seat when you log into the reservation system via your TUportal Next Steps channel.
