New Student Programs Coordinator
Victor Borges joined Temple in July 2018 as the New Student Programs Coordinator. He strives to welcome new students with a positive and transformational transition experience and to reassure both students and families that Temple University was the right choice. He oversees New Student Orientation, Transfer Orientation, Owl Team Leader recruitment, selection, and training, and other new student initiatives. Victor is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo (B.A. Psychology) and Kent State University (M.Ed. Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel). While at Kent State University, he held a graduate assistantship in Residence Services, a graduate internship in Student Success Programs - Destination Kent State, and a graduate internship in the College of Business Administration Career Services Office. Victor is a member of NODA - Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education.
Director, New Student and Family Programs
Deanne DeCrescenzo joined Temple in August 2017 as the Director of New Student and Family Programs. She is committed to supporting the transition of incoming students and their families to Temple University and helping them develop a sense of belonging here. She oversees departmental programs including Freshman, Transfer, and Parent & Family Orientations, Parent & Family Weekend, and other new student initiatives. Prior to arriving at Temple University, Deanne worked at Baruch College, CUNY and Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. She is a graduate of Penn State University (B.S. Marketing, B.S. French, B.S. International Studies) and Columbia University (M.A. Higher & Postsecondary Education). Deanne is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and a member of NASPA - Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and NODA - Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education.
Parent & Family Programs Coordinator
Elizabeth Harris joined Temple in May 2018 as the Parent & Family Programs Coordinator. She is dedicated to ensuring students and family members have a successful transition and a meaningful overall experience during their time at Temple. She oversees Parent & Family Orientation, Homecoming & Family Weekend, the Temple Family Council, and other parent & family initiatives. She is a graduate of Ohio University (B.S. Journalism & B.A. Political Science) and Florida State University (M.S. Higher Education). While at Florida State University, she held a graduate internship with New Student & Family Programs, a graduate assistantship with the Career Center, and a summer internship with Orientation & Transition Programs at the University at Albany. She is a member of NODA - Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education and AHEPPP - Family Engagement in Higher Education.
