When is my Orientation?

You will participate in Orientation to register for classes, meet other Temple owls, and learn about how you can get involved as a Temple student.  Learn more about First-year Orientation and Transfer Orientation sessions. 

How will I get more information?

If you have committed to Temple University by submitting your Enrollment Deposit, you will be notified via email at your TUmail account once additional details are available! 

Can someone attend Orientation with me?

Orientation sessions are designed for YOU, a new Temple student! Your parents and family members are encouraged to engage in our Parent and Family Programs. Learn more and encourage your family members and supporters to participate in Parent and Family Orientation!

I went to register for my Orientation session and none of the session dates/times listed work for me. What do I do now? 

Available session dates are displayed.  Availability is based on session capacity and only sessions with available seats will appear when registering.  Later session dates will be opened as earlier dates are filled. Still worried? Contact us and we can help! 

What is an Owl Team Leader?

Owl Team Leaders are Temple University’s orientation leaders. Owl Team Leaders work with University staff, new students, and each other to create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for new students and their family members during summer orientation programs and beyond.  They are a great way for you to get all of your Temple questions answered.

My Orientation session Zoom link isn’t working. What should I do?

Please make sure that you are signed in to your TUportal or accessing the link through your Temple email address, as you are required to join through you Temple AcessNet account. If you continue to experience challenges:

  • Download the Zoom app to your computer and sign in using your Temple affiliated email address

  • Restart the device in use

  • Open the link using a different Web Browser (Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.)

  • Make sure the full Zoom link URL was copied over if copying and pasting the link

  • If you continue to have challenges after troubleshooting with the solutions above, please give us a call at 215-204-8531.

I'm attending a virtual Orientation session and I can't find my Zoom link. What should I do?

Your Zoom link will be emailed to your Temple email address 2-3 business days in advance of your session. If you are not seeing the email, please check your spam folder. If you have a group advising session, you can also access your Zoom link in your Orientation Tab in your TUportal. If you are still unable to locate your Zoom link, please give us a call at 215-204-8531.

What if I miss my scheduled Orientation session?

If you miss or need to reschedule your Orientation session, you must select a new session through your TUportal.  Detailed instructions can be found here: https://orientation.temple.edu/rescheduling-your-orientation

How can I stay up to date on what's happening during Orientation?

How do I access Zoom for my virtual Orientation session and other summer events?

All Temple students are provided their own Zoom account, which can be accessed in your TUportal on the Home tab under TUApplications.
